e he oh I love being Out Of Tune it's great this is the Electra in its current state I'm juggling two Electra boards so one that I'm like heavily experimenting with and then one that I'm keeping simplified for the sections of each episode so it's good to see everybody here a lot of people on very fun very fun I'm G to I'm going to take this moment to tune this guitar because it's going to drive me bat crazy if I don't woo that's sh in case you're wondering I'm using the walrus canvas tuner it has better tuner tone feels really great here's basically here's what I have going on that's exactly what you're hearing I have a two in 222 in there which is a little higher gain transistor I biased it at 4.5 volts with the potentiometer and I ended up with a 15K on The Collector at this point if you've set through all seven of these I'm going to stop explaining certain things cuz you're learning so that collector resistor that you see there the 15K that's getting me 4.5 volts on the collector of the transistor I have the classic 1K to ground emitter adjustment that was my drive control and I have four 1 in 4148 I like that Arrangement and if you notice that red X that's going to be what we're doing today we're going to be inserting tone controls and messing with tone controls so you'll also notice I have a 01 up front on the circuit okay so notice 01 up front and a 0.1 here the reason I'm doing that I don't preferably love the 0.1 at the back in but it does it does let some more low end through and that's helpful when experimenting with tone controls you have to give the tone control something to do so if you make these coupling capacitors too small and the circuit too bright your tone controls it the tone controls we're going to mess with today primarily work on cutting highend out of the circuit we're not going to do anything active today and I'll explain why that is right now I guess the reason I don't want to get into active tone controls here is because when you look at this circuit the beauty of the Electra is that it's simplistic and it's one ...
